Professional Background

Anna DeBattiste is a trainer, program developer and writer specializing in leadership, team building, communication skills, diversity, and management topics. Anna has held human resource management, operations management and training positions in major organizations such as Coors Brewing Company and MeriStar Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (now Interstate Hotels & Resorts).  

Experience

Anna’s corporate experience has taken her through some of the most challenging HR and management experiences including mergers, acquisitions and an initial public offering. As an HR generalist with SPHR certification she has provided support in training and diversity, HR planning, succession planning, employee relations, career planning, and organizational development. She has also worked as a freelance magazine writer and was the public information officer for the Summit County Rescue Group, experiences which contribute to her specialty in written and verbal communication.

Anna has an extensive history specializing in training and development. She focuses mainly on diversity topics, leadership and management skills, teambuilding, customer service training programs and communication/writing skills. Her training has received high marks from private companies such as Metlife, Nike, Rockwell Collins, and Herman Miller, and government agencies such as the US Forest Service, the FDA, Defense Information Systems Agency, the Social Security Administration, and the Department of Education.

Anna DeBattiste enjoys trail running, international adventure travel, and light mountaineering. She volunteered as a mountain rescuer for seven years, and was an adventure racer for ten years. She has competed in over 30 races in the U.S., including the Primal Quest Expedition Race, Beast of the East, the Appalachian Extreme, and many 24 – 48 hour races. Anna’s life experiences add a special flavor to her presentations that audiences love!
