Professional Background

Dr. Wallace is a degreed professional safety and environmental specialist working in practice since 1990. He has an international clientele base representing a broad range of commercial, industrial, and institutional interests, from chemical manufacturing to international emergency response operations. 

In the 1990s he undertook several years of graduate and postgraduate studies at Southwest University in Kenner, Louisiana, in the field of occupational health and safety.

With over 18 years of professional experience, Larry has instructed in over 1600 different organizations. Dr. Wallace is noted as a national speaker in the areas of safety and environmental science and a Guest instructor at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA institute.

Dr. Wallace has authored and co-authored many health safety and environmental publications. Many of the techniques and theories in these manuals are to his credit. Larry relies on “real-world experience” and “how-to’s” in providing information that is practical, immediately applicable, actively involves the audience, and is enjoyable – all at the same time. Because he is both credible and likable, Dr. Wallace’s clients feel comfortable discussing personal or company issues that can sometimes be delicate.

Experience

Dr. Wallace  has 18 years of hands-on experience in the areas of occupational health, safety and environmental science. Dr. Wallace has instructor certification in OSHA, MSHA, EPA, ARC, AHA, and MFA. He successfully completed OSHA 500, 510, 512 constructions, and 501 industrial certification from the OSHA Institute in San Diego, California and Denver, Colorado. In addition, he holds emergency medical technician III and firefight/hazardous materials certification.

His began his career in the hospitality industry (Safety/Risk Management Hilton Corporation) and evolved to the chemical manufacturing field seven years later at Kerr McGee Chemical (PSM and ISO 9000-1, 1400-1, 18001-2 International). His past position with Summit Insurance Services and G & G Insurance Risk Services involved providing safety and environmental services to over 1600 different commercial, governmental and industrial companies (Protecting approximately 2.6 million plus in possible insurance claims).

Dr. Wallace is an advisor to BLR (Business and Legal Reports) and to the United States Department of Labor (Health & Safety sector) and is a frequently requested key note speaker.
